WeCareJax Board Member: Dr. Babita Jyoti

Babita Jyoti, M.D. provides necessary care for patients at Ackerman Cancer Center. She is one of the first physicians in the US to complete a Fellowship in both Pediatric and Adult Proton therapy at the University of Florida Health Proton Therapy Institute. She completed her Internal Medicine residency in Manchester, England, followed by a dual residency program in Medical Oncology and Radiation Oncology at the Clatterbridge Cancer Center, UK.

Dr. Jyoti has authored several book chapters and publications in peer-reviewed journals and has presented at international conferences. She has edited 10 books in the British Medical Journal Clinical Review series and has served as an examiner at the Manchester Medical School.

Dr. Jyoti strongly believes in providing outstanding, patient-focused care. Her clinical interests include breast cancer, pediatric cancers, and central nervous system tumors. She enjoys running and playing tennis. She has been a part of our WeCareJax board since 2023 and we are grateful for her continued service to health equity in Duval County!

What do you like to do in your spare time? 

I love to spend time with my family, travel, read, and stay active.

How did you get involved with WeCareJax? 

I was introduced to WeCareJax at the Ackerman Cancer Center.

I love the beach, the river, and the big, but yet small community feel.
