Because YOU Give

In the fiscal year 2017-2018, We Care received more than 4,100 referrals through its network of free and charitable clinics and federally qualified health centers. More than 1,800 unduplicated patients from all over Duval County received care in 33 different specialties ranging from diagnostic imaging to hematology-oncology. Many patients faced life-threatening illnesses, but the majority were treated early for illnesses and conditions that, left undiagnosed, would have eventually forced them to go to an emergency room.

In addition, We Care’s focus on preventive care and early detection of treatable conditions enabled 126 patients to receive colonoscopies, 284 patients to receive screening mammograms and 130 patients to receive diagnostic mammograms, further evidencing our commitment to the prevention of disease.
