Patient Success Story – Twalla
Twalla, a widowed mother of three, was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer at the young age of 51 after rushing to the ER with severe abdominal pain and cramping.
Currently unemployed, Twalla spends all of her time caring for her aging mother and her three children. Due to her financial state, Twalla was referred to WeCare by the team at the Sulzbacher clinic.
WeCare immediately connected Twalla with the physicians at Baptist MD Anderson to receive the care she so desperately needs. As she gets the necessary treatment for her cancer, our Director of Patient Services, Tatiana, will be coordinating her care and following up with her frequently to check on her progress.
WeCare provides compassionate life-saving care for patients like Twalla, through financal support from the community. Please consider a gift today – it can save a life!
