WeCareJax Partner, Community Health Outreach, launches diaper & formula drive to help mothers and children in need
One of our clinic partners, Community Health Outreach, has recently launched a drive to collect diapers and formula for their Baby Luv outreach program, an initiative that assists expectant mothers and children in need.
We invite you to help us gather supplies by purchasing an item or two from their Amazon wishlist: amzn.to/3aw3DHv
The items on their gift registry include those that are needed most, and many come with free shipping to the CHO point of contact for Baby Luv. It’s a great way to support new moms and their little ones in our community!
About Community Health Outreach
With a mission of “clothe the naked, feed the hungry, and serve the needy,” Community HealthOutreach (CHO) offers free primary care to adults in the community, a food bank that sees over 500 families per week on their campus, and the Baby Luv program. Baby Luv provides free maternity and child care supplies to mothers in need, as well as offers many informative ‘Child Care’ workshops and seminars at no cost.
The medical volunteers at CHO refer their patients to WeCareJax when they are in need of specialty care. From there, WeCareJax connects their patients to a specialty care volunteer physicians or to the health systems that serve WeCareJax-eligible patients. Through this connection, uninsured and low-income neighbors in need receive quality medical care despite their insurance status or ability to pay.
